Obituary of Irene Dillman

Irene V. Dillman, 87, of Wisconsin Rapids, passed away on Tuesday, Oct. 31, 2017, at Aspirus Riverview Hospital.

She was born on April 20, 1930, in Pittsville, to the late Clarence and Marie Larson. On June 6, 1953, her marriage to Glenn Dillman took place in Pittsville. Glenn passed away on Oct. 5, 1990.

Irene had worked seasonally at area cranberry marshes and also at the Opportunity Development Center. She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Wisconsin Rapids and enjoyed making cakes for birthdays and weddings; also, knitting, sewing, crocheting, crafts and making greeting cards.

Survivors include three sons, Robert (Deb) of Wisconsin Rapids, Richard of Oshkosh, and Douglas (Kathy) of Wisconsin Rapids; six granddaughters; 12 great-grandchildren, and her twin sister, Arlene (Roger) Fairbert of Marshfield.

The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, Nov. 3, 2017, at Herman-Taylor Funeral Home in Wisconsin Rapids with the Rev. John Grohs officiating. Burial will be in Mound Cemetery, Pittsville. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Friday morning from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service.
