Robert was born on March 1, 1963, to Robert and Ruth (Schudy) Quinnell, Sr. in Wisconsin Rapids.  He grew up on his parents’ farm and enjoyed spending time with his family. He graduated from Lincoln High School in 1981. He then spent three years with the Air Force, coming back to Rapids, he attended Mid-State Technical College earning Associate's degrees in Power Plant Engineering and Instrumentation. He worked part-time for Dwayne Shaw as a piano deliverer and then transitioned to full-time employment for Wade Van Tassel for Earth Design Construction as a carpenter. His most recent employment was with Charter Communications as a cable installation technician for the past 23 years. Through all of his positions, he enjoyed many interactions with everyone he met.

He married Patricia Gross on September 21, 1991. Together they had two daughters: Alexis (Jacob) Nelson and Natasha Quinnell. He also accepted Lisa (Dan) Hernandez and Ryan Saylor (Tari Passineau) as his own. Their marriage ended in divorce in October 2009.

Throughout his life he maintained a laid-back, carefree attitude towards life. He especially enjoyed music; either singing karaoke or listening to polkas. Bob was a part of the Four Wheeling, Motorcycle and Corvettes of the North clubs. He enjoyed warm sunny days, always wanting to leave the Wisconsin cold to move to Arizona. He had a fondness for cars, in particularly, Mercedes-Benz. He was a man who could wear overalls and still rock a Mercedes. He was a truly loving father, grandfather, and son. Words cannot describe how extraordinary of a man Bob was to those he loved. He will be dearly missed by all. We are always together, never apart, maybe in distance, but never at heart.

Robert is survived by his children: Natasha Quinnell, Alexis (Jacob) Nelson, Ryan (Tari Passineau) Saylor, and Lisa (Daniel) Hernandez; grandchildren: Travaya Saylor, Mya Hernandez, Owen Hernandez, Addison Hernandez, Trinity Hernandez, and Isaac Hernandez; his mother, Ruth Quinnell; siblings: Faye Obgartel, Susan (David) Doerrler, Kathleen (Daniel) Doerrler, Lori (Jeremy) Zimmerman, Dennis (Faith) Quinnell, Robin Quinnell, and Anthony Quinnell; his former wife, Patricia Quinnell, and many extended family and friends.  He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Quinnell, Sr. and brother-in-law, Peter Obgartel.
