Obituary of Donald R. Daniels
~~Donald Ray Daniels, Wisconsin Rapids, took his homeward journey on July 20, 2017. He was 76 years old at the time of his death. With able assistance of hospice and his caregivers, he was able to be in his home for his last days.
Donald was born January 4, 1941 in Caryville, Tennessee. He grew up in Middlesboro, Kentucky, one of six children. He was raised by his mother, Theresia Mae Peck-Stone and step-father, Charles Stone. As a late teen, he set out on his adventure, starting in Florida. His travels led him to Illinois and then to Wisconsin where he purchased a farmette farm in Juda, Wisconsin which housed lots of pet animals and his two younger daughters, Laura Daniels-Miller and Ashley Daniels (now deceased).
Along with his regular employment, he traveled with two rings of pony rides and a petting zoo to fairs and gatherings. Cars and stock car races were also a passion for him.
His older children are David Daniels (now deceased) and Carolyn Daniels-Herrera. His one full brother, Corbett Lee Daniels, died tragically while expecting his first son, Corbett Lee Daniels Jr. With a previous wife, he raised four other children.
In his maturity, Donald accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Lord and Savior, and died in the confidence of his final destination.
On St. Patrick’s Day, 2012 he married JeanneLou Truitt and the adventure went on with lots of places to see and things to do.
