Obituary of Darlene A. Durand

Darlene A. Durand, 82, passed away Thursday, June 22, 2017, at the House of the Dove in Marshfield, WI.

There will be no public services per Darlene’s request. Interment will be at Forest Hill Mausoleum. Herman-Taylor Funeral Home is assisting the family.

Darlene was born June 19, 1935, in Arpin, WI, to Earl and Alma (Sommerfeldt) Greubel. She graduated from Marshfield Senior High School in 1953. She worked at the Ahdawagam Credit Union where she met her future husband, Marshall Durand. Darlene and Marshall were married on Thanksgiving Day in 1954 in Wisconsin Rapids. Darlene and her husband would later raise pheasants and mink in Vesper, WI. The two would also start their business Durand ‘s Poultry Processing in Vesper until their retirement.

Darlene is survived by her son, Andy (Linda) Durand, Vesper, and her beloved grandson, Matthew (Sarah) Durand, New Berlin. She is preceded in death by her husband, Marshall “Mike” Durand, parents, brother, Early Greubel Jr., and her beloved cat “Scootie”.

The family would like to thank the staff at Ministry Home Care Hospice and the House of the Dove for their care and support of Darlene.
