Obituary of Betty Jean Kuehl

Betty Jean Kuehl, age 71, of Wisconsin Rapids, passed away early Monday morning, April 25, 2016 at Atrium Acute Care in Wisconsin Rapids. Services are 11:00 A.M. on Friday, April 29, 2016 at St. John Lutheran Church in Kellner. Rev. Kevin Ader will officiate. Burial will be at St. John Lutheran Parish Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9:00 A.M. until the time of services on Friday at the church. Herman-Taylor Funeral Home is assisting the family. Betty was born May 30, 1944 in Wisconsin Rapids to Herbert and Eva (Novak) Helke. Betty was an avid gardener and enjoyed tending to both her flower and vegetable gardens. In her earlier years she ran her own flower shop. She treasured time together with her family and loved the holidays, especially Christmas. Betty also enjoyed spending time bird watching and being with her beloved cat, Tiny. Betty is survived by her mother, Eva Helke; four children: Curt (Donna) Jacoby, Chris Jacoby, Keith (Sue) Kuehl, and Debbie (Gene) Sheets; five grandchildren: Zac (Kassi) Vande Voort, Tyler (Kim) Jacoby, Jamie Springer, Gene Sheets and Donavan Sheets; two great-grandchildren: Jacob and Carter Vande Voort; sister, Marlene (Ray) Rogers; and brother, Marvin (Joan) Helke. She was preceded in death by her son, Kevin Kuehl and her father, Herbert Helke.
