Obituary of Ruby French
Ruby Maye French, 93, of Wisconsin Rapids, died Wednesday morning, December 14, 2011, at Riverview Hospital.
Ruby was born June 12, 1918 in Ontario, Wisconsin to Charles and Inez (McKittrick) Revels. Her marriage to Barney Franklin ended in divorce. She then married Mike French. He preceded her in death in 1989.
Ruby had a passion for entertaining family and friends. She was an avid card player and especially enjoyed the game Euchre. She loved to cook and was known for her great chicken and dumpling soup. She was an animal lover who enjoyed the company of her dog and cats.
Ruby is survived by six children: Shirley Lewis of Houston, Texas, Donna Curtis of Hendersonville, North Carolina, Nancy Gage of Poynette, Carrie Manning of Montello, Barbara Peyton of Titusville, Florida, and Inez Bradley of Buhl, Idaho; twenty-six grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son, Daniel Franklin, four brothers, and three sisters.
There will be no public services or visitation. Ruby?s remains will be laid to rest in a private family cemetery in Ontario, Wisconsin.
