Obituary of Marian Bergh

Marian Elizabeth Bergh, 94,of Wisconsin Rapids died early Friday, December 16, 2011 at Wisconsin Rapids Nursing and Rehab Center. Services will be at 11:00 am on December 19, 2011 at Faith Baptist Church. Pastor Stephen Steinmetz will officiate. Burial will be at a later date in Restlawn Memorial Park Cemetery. Marian was born in Wisconsin Rapids on July 29, 1917 to Ben and Lilah (Dewey) Marks. She graduated from Lincoln High School. She continued her education at the Milwaukee School of Nursing, graduating as an RN. Marian married Frithjof Bergh on February 7, 1943 in Wisconsin Rapids. He died on August 12, 1967. Marian worked in the OB Department at Riverview Hospital and resided there in the nurse?s quarters. After her children were grown, Marian worked at Edgewater Haven Nursing Home and then Riverview Manor. She was a member of Riverview Hospital Association and Auxiliary, The Sons of Norway, Red Hatters, The Golden Girls, Dominoes Club and The Writers Club. Also, previously she was a member of The Tri-City and Homestead Golf Clubs. Marian enjoyed going out to eat with her friends, traveling to Norway and throughout Europe, and spending the winters in Florida. Survivors include her 2 children: Fred (Donna) Bergh, Wisconsin Rapids; Susan (Tom) Boudreau, Nekoosa; 5 grandchildren: Todd (Jamie) Boudreau, Nekoosa; Katie Boudreau, Wisconsin Rapids; Ben Boudreau, Milwaukee; Nathan (Cindy) Bergh, Clear Lake, Iowa; and Nicole (Chad) Hass, Sartell, Minnesota; 5 great-grandchildren: Elizabeth, Hunter, and Sophia Boudreau; Ethan and Evan Bergh. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son, Donald, brother, Donald Marks and sister, Jeanette Dolan. Friends may call at the church on Monday from 10:00 am to 11:00 am. Memorials may be designated to Riverside Bible Camp or UW Cancer Center of Riverview.
