Obituary of Jerome Schenk

Jerome William ?Jerry? Schenk, 72, Town of Rudolph, died unexpectedly on January 17, 2012 at his home. Jerry was born October 1, 1939 in Wisconsin Rapids to the late John and Irma (Hanneman) Schenk. He is a graduate of Assumption High School and served in the US Army. Jerry married the love of his life, Marjorie Vruwink on July 10, 1965 in Wisconsin Rapids. The happy couple was blessed with two daughters; Kellie and Tricia. Jerry and Marjorie celebrated 45 wonderful years together before returning home to be with his Lord. Jerry loved the Lord and the favor of the Lord guided his life. He was active in his church and really enjoyed Bible studies. He was also a very giving man of both his time and resources. Any project that Jerry took on, whether it be work or home; he gave it his full attention from start to finish. He loved the peaceful quiet life living along the river with his family for 45 years. Jerry loved his family and delighted traveling with them as often as he could. He also served as a Big Brother and was a member of the RPN Investment Club. Survivors include his wife, Marjorie; daughters, Kellie (John) Stroozas of Boise, Idaho and Tricia (Chad) Borgwardt of Wisconsin Rapids; grandchildren, Kaitlyn and Jordan Stroozas and Corban and Caleb Borgwardt; sister, Joan Clark of Dayton, Ohio; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Marge Schenk, Barb Schenk, William (Joan) Vruwink, Howard Vruwink, Jim Vruwink, Ira Vruwink, Carol (Tom) Hannenam and Shirley (Jim) Mertes; and many nieces, nephews and friends. He is preceded in death by his brothers, James and Jack Schenk. Funeral services will be at 10:00 AM on Monday, January 23 at Liberty Bible Church (4020 Washington Street, Wisconsin Rapids).
