Obituary of Robert Lafler

Robert Lee Lafler, 57, Nekoosa, died Saturday, February 4, 2012 at Edgewater Haven Nursing Home, Port Edwards. Services will be at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, February 8, 2012 at Taylor, Vollert and Jennings Funeral Home in Wisconsin Rapids. Friends may call at Taylor Funeral Home in Wisconsin Rapids from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM on Tuesday, February 7 and again on Wednesday at the funeral home from 10:00 AM until the time of services. Bob was born June 8, 1954 in Wisconsin Rapids to the late Vivian and Cecelia (Osinski) Lafler. He married Rose Hayes on February 14, 1992 in Wisconsin Rapids. Throughout his life, Bob worked in the transportation industry as a dispatcher and truck driver. Bob was a man who liked to have fun and laugh. In his free time he enjoyed fishing and watching cooking shows. Bob also had a great love for dogs, especially his dog Loulou. Survivors include his wife, Rose; sons, Lee Lafler and Jeremiah Hayes; daughter, Jessica Hayes; grandchildren, Zachery, Destinee, Izabella and Benjamin; nephews, Paul Lang, Bobby Lang, Scott Lafler and Terry Lafler; mother-in-law, Dorothy Hayes; brothers-in-law, Walt Hayes and John (Heidi) Hayes; and extended family and friends. He was preceded in death by his siblings, Gene, Jim and Linda.
