Obituary of Doris Hesterman

Doris L. Hesterman, 87, formerly of Wisconsin Rapids, died Saturday, February 18, 2012, at the home of her daughter in Weyerhaeuser, Wisconsin. Doris was born March 16, 1924 in Butternut, Wisconsin, to the late Arnold and Ida (Rominske) Wegner. She married Claude Hesterman in 1944 in Wisconsin Rapids. He died in February 2000. Doris was an avid outdoorswoman who enjoyed hunting, fishing, and gardening. She is survived by two children: Donald Hesterman of Rudolph and Nancy Rehman of Weyerhaeuser; four granddaughters: Shelley Batka, Lisa (Nick) Periera, Lori Batka, and Trisha Pelot; and seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two brothers, and son-in-law, Robert Rehman. There will be no public visitation or services. Private graveside services will be held at a later date at Restlawn Memorial Park Cemetery. Taylor, Vollert and Jennings Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
