Obituary of Joyce Smits

Joyce D. Smits, 70, of Wisconsin Rapids, died Monday, February 20, 2012, at her residence. Joyce was born April 21, 1941 in Wisconsin Rapids to Arnold and Celia (Holstein) Smits. She graduated from Lincoln High School in 1960. Joyce was employed by Paperboard Products, a division of Consolidated Papers Inc. until her retirement. She was a lifetime member of New Hope Community Church. She enjoyed fishing and was an avid fan of the Packers, Badgers and Brewers. Joyce is survived by aunts, uncles, cousins, and close friends. She was preceded in death by her parents. A celebration of her life will be at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, March 3rd at New Hope Community Church, 710 20th Avenue South, Wisconsin Rapids. Pastor Mary Bosch will be officiating. Burial will be at a later date in the Christian Reformed Cemetery in the Town of Sigel. Memorials may be designated to New Hope Community Church.
