Obituary of Betty Bohm
Betty J. Bohm, 89, formerly of Vesper, died Thursday, April 19, 2012 at Strawberry Lane in Wisconsin Rapids.
Services will be at 11:00 am on Monday, April 23, 2012 at Trinity Lutheran Church. Rev. Douglas Schalow will officiate. Burial will be in Trinity Lutheran Cemetery in the Town of Hansen.
Betty was born in Wisconsin Rapids on April 19, 1923 to Albert and Hazel (Smith) Behling. She married Herbert J. Bohm on March 20, 1943 in South Milwaukee.
Betty enjoyed taking care of her home and entertaining family members.
She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Vesper and active in the Lady?s Aide. She also was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary. Betty loved to read in her spare time, especially mysteries. She kept track of her activities by journaling daily. Betty also loved her dogs.
Betty is survived by her husband, Herbert J. Bohm; children: Carol (Chris) Zindorf, of Elroy, WI; Judith Ray, of Colorado Springs, CO; Robert (Karen) Bohm, Vesper; Daniel (Laura) Bohm, Friendship; David (Beth) Bohm, Arvada, CO; Timothy (Sherri) Bohm, Colorado Springs, CO; Grandchildren: Brenda (James) Gaier, Paula (Stephen) Caucutt, Scott (Kelly) Woodworth, Aaron (Lauren) Ray, Allison Ray, Stephanie (Brian Nelson) Bohm, Nicole (Rocky) Hulne, Lindsey (Geoffrey) Andrade, Megan (Chris) Lang, Tori (Jeremiah) Peterson, Brittany Bohm, William (Briony) Bohm, Cristopher Bohm, Alyssa Bohm; step-grandchildren: Adam (Tabitha) Parrott, Julia (William) Robbins, Sam Parrott; 14 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren; brother Raymond (Erma) Behling; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Victor Behling and his wife Evelyn; sister-in-law, Dorothy Maas and husband Roy; sister-in-law, Viola Gehm and husband, Ernest; sister-in-law Agnes Satorius and husband, Stanley; brother-in-law, Arnold Bohm; brother-in-law, Harry Bohm and wife Velora; mother and father-in-law, Albert and Mary Bohm.
Friends may call at Taylor, Vollert and Jennings Funeral Home from 4-7 pm on Sunday, April 22, 2012 and at the church on Monday from 10:00 am until the time of services.
Betty?s family would like to extend a thank you to the staff members of Strawberry Lane Medical Center and Aspirus Comfort Care Hospice for their wonderful care of Betty.
