Obituary of Shirley Arneson

Shirley Ann Arneson, 74, of Wisconsin Rapids, passed away Saturday, June 2, 2012 at Riverview Medical Center in Wisconsin Rapids. Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 6th at Taylor, Vollert and Jennings Funeral Home. Rev. Vicki Natzke will officiate. Entombment will be in Forest Hill Mausoleum. Visitation will be from noon until the time of services on Wednesday at the funeral home. Shirley was born October 16, 1937 in Wisconsin Rapids to Roland and Frances (Mahoney) O?Dell. She married Arne Arneson on October 30, 1954 at St. John?s Episcopal Church in Wisconsin Rapids. The couple was blessed with 55 years of marriage and four children. Arne died on April 4, 2010. Shirley was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother and a terrific homemaker. She is survived by three daughters: Debra (Dennis) Lindeman, Cindy (Dan) Schmick, and Tammy Arneson all of Wisconsin Rapids; one son, Rick Arneson of Del Rio, Texas; ten grandchildren: Deena (Ken) Romack, Lindsay Lindeman, Jared Lindeman, Chad Schmick, Nicole Schroeder, Jess, Jeremiah, and Jason Konietzki, and Alex and Eric Arneson; five great-grandchildren; one brother, William (Kathleen) O?Dell of Wisconsin Rapids; and one sister-in-law, Cheryl Lang-O?Dell of Wisconsin Rapids. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Arne, two brothers, Richard and Robert, and a sister, Delores O?Dell.
