Obituary of Lance George Oligney

Lance G. Oligney, age 54, of Wisconsin Rapids, passed away Tuesday, May 17, 2016 in Wisconsin Rapids. Lance was born September 9, 1961 in Wisconsin Rapids to George and Delores (Kingston) Oligney. He served his country in the US Army from 1980-1983 and in the US Marine Corps from 1985-1990. His service included working as a radio operator and a bulk fuel specialist. Lance served tours overseas in both branches of the military and received honorable discharge. Lance is survived by one brother, Ricky Oligney and his children: Cassandra and Chandler Oligney; one sister, Tina (Glenn) Ball and their children: Riley and Madalyn Ball; and a niece, Chante Giese. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Tammy Oligney, and nephew Ryan Schingo. Private family services will be held at a later date. Herman-Taylor Funeral Home in Wisconsin Rapids is assisting the family.
