Obituary of Karen Ubinger
Karen Marie (Provost) Ubinger, 66, with the Lord holding her in His arms she went home Saturday evening at St. Joseph Hospital, Marshfield, after a long courageous battle with cancer.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, June 20, at St. Paul?s Evangelical Lutheran Church, Wisconsin Rapids. Reverend James Douglas will officiate. Visitation will be from 12:00 PM until the time of services at the church on Wednesday. Entombment will be in the Forest Hill Mausoleum.
Karen was born February 4, 1946 to the late Lawrence and Leona (Henke) Provost in Wisconsin Rapids. She was united in marriage to Larry Ubinger on May 28, 1966 in Wisconsin Rapids. Karen was a devoted mother and grandmother.
Karen was a very loving and caring person who led by example as being a follower of Jesus, a faithful and active member of St. Paul?s Evangelical Lutheran Church and School. She served her Lord with love in volunteering her time and gifts in serving in many functions to expand the kingdom of her Savior Jesus Christ.
Karen is survived by her husband Larry Ubinger; two sons: Scott (Heidi) Ubinger and Jason Ubinger of Wisconsin Rapids; grandchildren: Nathan, Nicholas and Jordyn Ubinger; two sisters: Marilyn (Huntz) Link and Beverly (Gilbert) Pecher of Wisconsin Rapids; three brothers: Donald Provost, Ronald (Georgene) Provost and Leon (Donna) Provost of Wisconsin Rapids; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Roger, one sister,Darla, and sister-in-law, Sue (Whitrock) Provost.
Taylor, Vollert and Jennings Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be designated to St. Paul?s Evangelical Church Mortgage fund.
