Obituary of Marjorie Hunziker
Marjorie Mae Hunziker, 83, Wisconsin Rapids, died June 18, 2012 at Edgewater Haven Nursing Home, Port Edwards.
Services will be at 11:00 AM on Thursday, June 21 at St. Luke?s Lutheran Church, Wisconsin Rapids. Deacon Jim Johnson will officiate. Visitation will begin at 9:00 AM on Thursday at the church and last until the time of services. Interment will be in Forest Hill Cemetery.
Marjorie was born June 16, 1929 in Milwaukee to the late Julius and Mabel (Dorman) Wirsing. She married Lee Hunziker on June 18, 1949 in Superior, WI. Marjorie worked for Riverview Hospital for 24 years as a housekeeper and seamstress.
Marjorie was a good woman with simple tastes in life. She loved to go camping and dancing whenever she could with Lee, especially polkas. Marjorie was also a woman with strong faith and relied on her faith and family through many adversities in her life.
Survivors include her loving husband of 63 years, Lee; special nephew and niece, Roger and Bonnie Irwin of Wisconsin Rapids; sister-in-law, Liz Mills; and many nieces, nephews and friends. She is preceded in death by a stillborn son, Dean Allen; son, Ronald Lee; brother, Gordon Wirsing and sister, Beatrice Briske.
Taylor, Vollert and Jennings Funeral Home is assisting the family.
