Obituary of Margaret Zuege
Margaret A. Zuege, (nee Bitter) 87, Wisconsin Rapids, died Tuesday, June 26, 2012 at Ministry Saint Joseph?s Hospital in Marshfield.
Services will be at 11:30 am on Saturday, June 30th at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Wisconsin Rapids. Rev. John Grohs will officiate. Burial will be in Restlawn Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4pm to 7pm on Friday, June 29th at Taylor, Vollert and Jennings Funeral Home and Saturday from 10:30 am until the time of services at the church.
Margaret was born in the Town of Herman, Sheboygan County, Wisconsin on September 24, 1924 to Alfred and Edna (Schneider) Bitter. She married Orwald Zuege on April 15, 1950 in Howards Grove, Wisconsin. He died October 6, 1993.
Margaret was employed by Riverwood Clinic in Wisconsin Rapids as a Registered Nurse until retiring in 1981.
She was a faithful member of Immanuel Lutheran Church and its Evening Guild. Margaret gave of her talents to the quilting group and was also a part of Project Compassion, helping many people in their time of need. Margaret was a wonderful cook and baker. She loved having her family together, always treating them to her great dishes and desserts. Some of her hobbies included making baskets and other craft items. She also enjoyed gardening and traveling.
Margaret is survived by one son: Daniel (Sue) Zuege of Milwaukee; one daughter: Debra (James) Schneider of Brookfield; four grandchildren: Greg (Theresa) Schneider, Nathan Schneider, Brittany Zuege and Lucas Zuege; sisters-in-law: Marilyn Bitter and Lois Bitter Skalsky; many nieces and nephews; friends and neighbors. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Orwald, 2 sisters,Marie and Cora Bitter and 3 brothers, Harold Bitter, Rev. Donald Bitter and Alfred Bitter Jr.
Memorials may be designated in Margaret's name to Immanuel Lutheran Church in Wisconsin Rapids.
