Obituary of Sharon Elaine Kincaid

Sharon E. Kincaid, age 67, of Wisconsin Rapids, passed away Wednesday, May 18, 2016. A memorial service will be at 3:00 P.M. on Saturday, May 28, 2016 at Herman-Taylor Funeral Home in Wisconsin Rapids.Rev. Dave Guse will officiate. Visitation will be from 1:00 P.M. until the time of services. Sharon was born on January 19, 1949 in Crandon, Wisconsin to Olonzo and Ruth (Sharp) Kincaid, the youngest of five children. Sharon graduated as valedictorian from Crandon High School. She continued her education at Langlade County Teachers College, accepted a teaching position at St. Phillips School in Rudolph, Wisconsin. She worked there for the next 30 years. She enjoyed working with children and being an integral part of their school education. She also worked at Northland Cranberries and later completed a course in pharmacy technology. She was an avid reader and enjoyed spending time with her many nieces and nephews. Sharon is survived by three sisters: Carol Janikowski and Patricia Joan Kirker of Crandon, WI and Ruby Bourdon of Wisconsin Rapids, WI; one sister-in-law, Patricia Kincaid of Kathleen, GA; one brother-in-law, Kenneth Kirker; one aunt; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Lonn Kincaid; two brothers-in-laws: Robert Janikowski and Douglas Bourdon; her grandparents; and several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Special thanks to the staff, nurses, CNAs, physical therapy personnel and others who worked on the wing with Sharon at Strawberry Lane for their care and concern.
