Obituary of Ronald Janssen
Ronald ?RJ? Lee Janssen, 60, died Thursday, July 12, 2012 at his home in the Town of Grant.
RJ was born December 2, 1951 in Wisconsin Rapids to the late Earl and Lillian (Lehman) Janssen.
Services will be at 5:00 PM on Thursday, July 19, 2012 at Taylor, Vollert and Jennings Funeral Home, Wisconsin Rapids. Reverend Kevin Ader will officiate. Visitation will be from 2:00 PM until 5:00 PM on Thursday at the funeral home. Inurnment will be at Forest Hill Mausoleum at a later date.
RJ worked as a Diesel Mechanic. He was a man with a big heart who loved to laugh and joke around with friends and family. He had a great love of learning and enjoyed passing the knowledge that he had on to others. RJ could see the potential in anything and would often bring things home to clean up and fix, with many projects never quite getting done. Every year he could be found at old car shows and swap meets engaging in one of his favorite pastimes, talking with everyone he could.
Survivors include his children, Jeremy (Tricia) Janssen, Chris (Heather) Janssen, Jon (Wendy) Janssen, Angie (Mike) Dombrowski and Amber Janssen; many grandchildren and a few great-grandchildren; his beloved, Celeste Bailey; siblings, Shirley Lengyl, Earl Jr. (Connie) Janssen, Norman (Beverley) Janssen; his best puppy, Max; and some of the best friends a man could ever have wanted. He is preceded in death by his brother, Jerry Janssen.
