Obituary of Cynthia Davis
Cynthia Jean ?Cindy? Davis, 56, Nekoosa, died Friday, July 20, at her home after a courageous battle with cancer under the care of Ministry Home Care Hospice.
Cindy was born July 6, 1956 in Marshfield to Carl and Barbara (Wolf) Jagodzinski. She was a proud graduate of Lincoln High School. She married the love of her life, William Davis, on July 22, 1994 in Wisconsin Rapids. Cindy worked in the deli for Piggly Wiggly for 9 years, enjoying the many catering jobs she worked on with her supervisor, Lori Jacobitz.
Though a private person by nature, Cindy had a small but very close group of friends. She enjoyed cooking and baking, adding angels to her collection, cheering Jeff Gordon on in NASCAR races, listening to Ricky Van Shelton and staying at the family cottage in Phillips. One of her greatest joys was to spend time with family and work on her hand crocheted afghans. Her fur babies, Boots and Sassy, were the light of her life.
Cindy is survived by her beloved husband, William; children, Troy (Lisa) Ortscheid of Wisconsin Rapids and Melody (Seth) Dupee of Arpin; grandchildren, Jeffrey Ortscheid and Haley Goldberg; parents, Carl and Barbara Jagodzinski of Wisconsin Rapids; maternal grandmother, Dorothy Wolf of Marshfield; siblings, Cheryl (Mike) Schymanski, Rick (Jill Schlutter) Jagodzinski both of Wisconsin Rapids and Connie (Scott) Steele of Vesper; father-in-law, Richard F. Davis of Wisconsin Rapids; brothers and sisters-in-law, Judy (Terry) Shymanski of Nekoosa, Richard A. Davis of Adams, Carol (Larry) Krubsack, Nancy Davis both of Nekoosa, Phillip (Pauline) Davis of Prentice and Jayne (Scott) O?Dell of Texas; constant fuzzy companions, Boots and Sassy; and extended family and friends. She is preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Raymond and Barbara (Adams) Jagodzinski; maternal grandfather, Walter Wolf Sr.; mother-in-law, Arlene Davis and special aunt, Bernice Busjahn.
A private family service for Cindy will take place at a later date.
