Obituary of Nora Goss

Nora E. Goss, 86, passed away on August 8, 2012 at Ministry Saint Joseph?s Hospital in Marshfield. Services will be at 1:00 pm on Monday, August 13th at Trinity Lutheran Church in Port Edwards. Rev. Daniel Bohn will officiate. Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Monday from 11:30 am until the time of services at the church. Nora was born on April 29, 1926 in Nekoosa, WI to David Hamilton and Emma Bertha (Schmidt) Nickel. She married Vernon H. Goss on December 31, 1947 at the German Settlement Lutheran Church. Her husband passed away in 2004. Nora was employed by various organizations in the Wisconsin Rapids area for many years as an office cleaner. She enjoyed spending time with family, working in the garden, and crafts. She was a devoted and loving mother and wife. She will be deeply missed. Survivors include two sons: James Walter Goss of Wisconsin Rapids and William Charles (Joan) Goss of Nekoosa; daughter: Nancy Ann (Kenneth) Tuttle of Noblesville, IN; six grandchildren: Nichole (Mark) Oehler, Andrew and Kristy Tuttle; Justin, Amanda, and Stephanie Goss; one great-grandchild, Leah Kuhn; two sisters: Irma (Russell) Breese of Port Edwards, WI and Ruth (Raymond) Pritchard of Neshkoro, WI. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter, Susan Emma Goss and two brothers, Henry ?Red? Nickel and Walter Nickel. Taylor, Vollert and Jennings Funeral Home is assisting the family.
