Obituary of Juanita A. Kroll

Juanita A. Kroll, age 86, of Wisconsin Rapids passed away Wednesday, May 18, 2016 at The Waterford in Wisconsin Rapids. Services will be at 3:00 P.M. on Saturday, May 21, 2016 at Herman-Taylor Funeral Home in Wisconsin Rapids. Rev. Timothy Wenger will officiate. Visitation will be from 1:00 P.M. until the time of services on Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will be on Monday at Restlawn Memorial Park Cemetery. Juanita was born July 3, 1929 in Nekoosa, WI to Arthur and Ina (Spice) Sarver. She married John A. Kroll Jr. in Nekoosa on July 29, 1950. They were blessed with the birth of a daughter, Peggy. John died on July 30, 2001. Juanita held several jobs over the years, but her years spent as a crossing guard on the corner of 13th Avenue and West Grand Avenue and at West Grand IGA were the ones she truly enjoyed. Juanita's favorite things were spending time in the kitchen making cookies and bars, time outside in her own backyard or on the trails and lakes near Boulder Junction and casino trips with "the Christmas club". She loved country and western music, the Packers (especially Brett Favre) and Cheetos. Juanita is survived by her daughter, Peggy (Michael) Walton of Wisconsin Rapids; one sister, Ardith Malcolm of Wisconsin Rapids; and one brother, Kenneth Sarver of Sacramento, CA. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, John, three brothers: Donald, Merle and Roy, and two sisters: Dorothy Konietzki and Audrey Gray. Special thanks to the staff at The Waterford and Heartland Hospice for all of the care and concern for Juanita. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be designated to St. Luke's Lutheran Church, Heartland Hospice or an organization of your choice.
