Obituary of Raymond Ringer

Raymond Ringer, Sr., 82, formerly of 7920 Griffith Ave, died Saturday, September 8, 2012 at Edgewater Haven Nursing Home, Port Edwards. There will be a private service at a later date with interment in Forest Hill Cemetery. Raymond was born October 15, 1929 in the Town of Sigel to the late Charles and Mabel (Getzinger) Ringer. He married Catherine Jaminski on April 17, 1947 in the Town of Sigel. The couple raised seven children and Raymond worked very hard to provide for his family with Consolidated Paper as a papermaker for 44 years. Catherine unexpectedly died, December 26, 2002 after 54 years of marriage to Raymond. Raymond, in his younger years, enjoyed fishing on Nepco Lake, working in his garden and dancing polkas with his wife. Raymond is survived by his loving children, Carolyn Oldakowski, Sher Trow, Patricia Shall, Raymond (significant other, Dawn Wenzel) Ringer, Jr., Carl Ringer, Joyce (Don) Bohn and David Ringer; 7 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren and extended family and friends. He is preceded in death by his granddaughter, Rhonda McCarthy; sister, Viola Graves and half-brother, Arnold Ringer. Raymond?s family would like to extend a heartfelt word of thanks to the staff of Edgewater Haven Nursing Home for their compassionate care.
