Obituary of Charlene Robinson
Charlene L. Robinson, 65, of Nekoosa, passed away Saturday, September 29, 2012, at her residence.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, October 3rd, at St. John Lutheran Church in Kellner. Rev. Kevin Ader will officiate. Burial will be in St. John Lutheran Church Cemetery. Visitation will be at Taylor, Vollert and Jennings Funeral Home from 4:00-8:00 p.m. on Tuesday and at St. John Lutheran Church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services on Wednesday.
Charlene was born on June 11, 1947 to Ernest Jr. & Ruth (Steinke) Neinfeldt in Wisconsin Rapids. She was united in Marriage to Larry N. Robinson on July 2, 1966 at St. John?s Lutheran Church in Kellner, Wi.
Charlene was active in many different areas of the community including the Nekoosa School District, women?s softball leagues, and twenty-one years as a Girl Scout volunteer. Charlene also helped teach Sunday School, attended her daughters numerous school functions, and worked with the church funeral committee. Charlene had worked at SuperValu and was an Avon Representative for over twenty years.
She enjoyed flowers, birds and crafting. Charlene was especially proud of her yearly Country Friends Craft Sale she held every Fall in the Township of Port Edwards with her friends and family and being able to donate handmade crafts to St. John?s Lutheran Church?s bazaar and the Marshfield Clinic.
Charlene is survived by her husband Larry Robinson, three daughters, Ruth (Ed) Russell of Winneconne, Wendy (Jamie) Bruhn of Nekoosa, & Carol (Ryan) Pawlicki of Marshfield, and six grandchildren: Mikala, Larissa, Ian, Dylan, Bryanna & Kendall. She is also survived by her brother David (Charlene) Neinfeldt, numerous nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. Her path to God was led by her parents Ernest Jr. & Ruth (Steinke) Neinfeldt, step-mother Mary Ann (Ratelle) Neinfeldt, and sisters Rhonda & Nancy Neinfeldt.
As Charlene faced difficult health conditions, her attitude remained extremely positive. She always welcomed visitors and put a sign on the door requiring a smile on everyone?s face when they entered.
The family would like to thank the wonderful staff that helped Charlene and the family through her journey. Thank you to the caregivers from Marshfield Clinic Oncology, Ministry Hospice and Ministry Living Well. A special thank you to those that helped get Charlene to her treatments and appointments, sent cards, called and visited.
