Obituary of Blanche Klubertanz
Blanche I. Klubertanz, 96, passed away peacefully on Friday, October 5, 2012 at Our House Senior Living under the care of Aspirus Comfort Care and Hospice Services.
Services will be at 12:00 PM on Wednesday, October 10 at the First Baptist Church in Wisconsin Rapids. Reverend Charles Bradbury will officiate. Burial will be in the Plainfield Cemetery in Plainfield, WI. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until the time of services on Wednesday at the church.
Blanche was born January 19, 1916 in Bancroft to the late Ora and Donzella (Lovelace) Waterman. She married Leonard F. Klubertanz on August 4, 1935 in Plainfield. Blanche and Leonard celebrated 54
wonderful years together prior to his death on December 21, 1989.
Blanche was an active member of the First Baptist Church in Wisconsin Rapids where singing in the choir was a source of great joy for her.
Blanche enjoyed many hobbies and was an avid reader, especially westerns. She made sure to make afghans and Christmas socks for each of her children, grand children and many of her great-grandchildren. She also made pine-needle baskets, did lots of beadwork as well as quilling. Walking was also on her list of things she enjoyed.
Blanche is survived by her children, Charles (Nancy) of Bella Vista, Arkansas and Suzanne (Dean) Schmidt of Jefferson, WI; son-in-law, William Wirtz of Wisconsin Rapids; 9 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and other extended family and friends. She is preceded in death by her daughter, Elaine Wirtz; sister, Elsie Dhein; brothers, Carl and Sidney Waterman; grandson, Kurt Kluberstanz and great-grandson, Nicholas Wirtz.
