Obituary of William C. Zach

William Charles Zach, age 93, of Wisconsin Rapids, passed away, Monday, May 23, 2016 at St. Joseph's Hospital in Marshfield surrounded by his loving family. William was born on June 8, 1922 in Phillips, Wisconsin to Joseph and Mary Zach. He was united in marriage to Mildred Mae Straka on February 5, 1944 in La Jolla, CA; Mildred passed away on August 15, 2014. William was a proud member of the United States Army. He enlisted in 1943, served in the South Pacific, and was honorably discharged in 1946. William is survived by his daughter Sharon (Tom) Zach Ertl; grandchildren: Tom Ertl, Denise (Allen) Ertl Hansen and Lisa Ertl; great-grandchildren: Billy Ertl, Ronald Hansen, and Allisen Hansen; sisters: Betty Hlad and Blanche Christian both of Arizona. He was preceded in death by his parents, beloved wife Mildred, son Ronald Lee Zach and 8 siblings. Burial will take place in Worth, Illinois at a later date.
