Obituary of Richard Anderson
Richard Allan Anderson, 50, of Nekoosa, died Friday morning, October 19, 2012.
Rich was born August 17, 1962 in Wisconsin Rapids to James and Margaret (Mosher) Anderson. He married Machelle Winch on June 29, 1984; that marriage ended in divorce. For the last 16 years, he had a loving relationship with Sandra Warner. Rich was self-employed for most of his life as a private contractor in the concrete business. His most recent employer was Wysocki Farms in Nekoosa.
Rich was an avid hunter and fisherman all his life. Rich was also a superb drummer; he and his best friend, Sandy, performed for the band Metalzedge, playing at local establishments and cutting a demo CD in 2007. He was very proud of his garden and loved to tinker in his shop. He was in the process of restoring his dad?s cabin cruiser, the Monnie M, named after his mother. Rich loved spending time with his son, Joe, and playing with his granddaughter, Nae.
Rich is survived by his best friend, Sandy Warner; a son, Joseph Richard (Ashley Sailer) Anderson; a granddaughter, Naomie Miranda Anderson; two brothers, James (Barbara) Anderson and William (Sandra) Anderson; and two sisters, Aleta (Leland) Korslin and Elizabeth (Dennis) Riemer; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and a daughter, Miranda Mae Anderson.
Funeral services will be at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 24th at Herman-Taylor Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 2201 Chestnut Street, Wisconsin Rapids. Deacon James Johnston will officiate. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. until the time of services at 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
