Obituary of Alvin Leslie White
Alvin Leslie White, age 54, formerly of Nekoosa, passed away on Tuesday, June 14, 2016 at St. Vincent Hospital in Green Bay, surrounded by his loving family.
Native American Church Services will be at 12:00 P.M. on Friday, June 17, 2016 at Cex Haci Community Building in Nekoosa. Lot Smith will officiate. Burial will be at Dexterville Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9:00 A.M. to 12:00 P.M on Thursday, June 16, 2016 at Herman-Taylor Funeral Home in Wisconsin Rapids.
Alvin was born December 2, 1961 to Charles and Charlotte (Tipton) White in Wisconsin Rapids. He was known for his smile and outgoing personality. Alvin was employed by Wal-Mart in Green Bay, WI as a stockman and was fondly known by all as the unofficial greeter. He always wanted to make people happy. Alvin enjoyed playing disk golf and was an avid fan of the Green Bay Packers. He looked forward to his annual trip to Florida. Alvin especially loved being a grandfather.
Alvin is survived by his mother Charlotte; siblings: Linda White-Goodwin, Ivan White and Robert White as well as many nieces and nephews. He is further survived by his extended family Jay and Lori Montoya, and grandchildren: Jesse, Cruz and Nihzhonie. He was preceded in death by his father Charles White and grandmother Angeline Whitewood.
