Obituary of Dorothy Randecker
Dorothy Randecker, 91, passed away Thursday, April 18, 2013 at The Renaissance in Wisconsin Rapids.
Dorothy was born October 5, 1921 in Biron to Mike and Sarah (Callows) Jinsky. On November 17, 1946 she married Don Randecker at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Nekoosa.
Dorothy met Don while working at Consolidated Papers. She was later employed by JC Penneys, Montgomery Wards, and the Wood County Telephone Co. where she worked as a service representative for 15 years, retiring in 1982.
Grateful to have been a part of her life are her children: Gary of Houston, TX; daughter, Cheryl (Dan) Medin of Lakeville, MN; grandchildren: Amie (Alan) Harris, Dylan, Elsie and Wyatt Randecker, Tyler and Logan Medin; great-grandchildren: Olivia, Richard, Desmond and Mason Randecker and Marin Harris.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, of nearly 65 years, Don; brothers: Lawrence, Kenneth, Alvin, and Mike Jr.; and sister: Irene Saylor.
Services will be at 12:00 noon on Monday, April 22nd at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Wisconsin Rapids. Rev. John Grohs will officiate. Visitation will be from 11:00 am until the time of services on Monday at the church. Family committal will be at a later date at Restlawn Memorial Park Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be designated to Ministry Home Care Hospice or Immanuel Lutheran Church or School.
The family extends their gratitude to Ministry Home Care Hospice and the wonderful staff at The Renaissance. Our mom loved her caretakers there and we appreciate the joy they brought into her life.
