Obituary of Dennis B. Glodowski

Dennis B. Glodowski, age 73, of Wisconsin Rapids, passed away at Aspirus Riverview Hospital on Saturday, June 18, 2016. Services will be at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, June 22, 2016 at Herman-Taylor Funeral Home in Wisconsin Rapids. Pastor John Grohs will officiates. Visitation will be Tuesday, June 21, 2016 from 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. and Wednesday, June 22, 2016 from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service at the funeral home. Dennis was born April 8, 1943 in Stevens Point, Wisconsin to Phillip and Cecelia (Sherfinski) Glodowski. His first marriage to Josephine Feist ended in divorce. On December 26, 1978 he married Beverly Richter and they were blessed with 37 years of marriage. Dennis worked 48 years for Georgia Pacific Paper Company, later, Domtar Paper. He loved spending time outdoors, especially: fishing, bow hunting, playing golf, softball, and baseball. Dennis had a passion for gardening. He enjoyed picnics with the family. He was a dedicated fan of the Packers and Brewers. He never had an enemy, unless you were a Vikings fan. Dennis participated in pool and dart leagues. He spent a lifetime sweeping Bev off of her feet on the dance floor and teaching his children how to polka. Most importantly, Dennis was a fun loving and dedicated husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He continues to be loved and will be deeply missed. Dennis is survived by his wife, Beverly; children: Brenda (Scott) Winkels, Vern (Cindy) Egerer, Robert (Jenny Lee) Egerer, Dennis (Branden) Glodowski Jr., Tammy (Brian) Glodowski, Tiffannyann (Nick) Worzella, Tonya Glodowski, Patricia Egerer, Kathleen (Bob) Carter, and John (Sandy) Egerer; 20 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; siblings: Richard Glodowski, James (Jean) Glodowski, and Jerome (Pat) Glodowski; and many nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by his parents, Phillip and Cecelia Glodowski; a sister, Bernice Domine; a brother, Franky Glodowski; and a grandson, Damon John.
