Dorothy was born March 24, 1938 in Madison to William Wallace and Ruby Alma (Strangeway) Kuhl. She is a 1956 graduate of Kelly High School and later received her beautician?s certification. She married George Richard Klatt on September 3, 1971 in Villa Park, IL. He died on March 11, 2002. Dorothy was employed by Spraying Systems Co. as a Leader in the quality control department. She attended Woodland Lutheran Church in Nekoosa faithfully and was a member of the local TOPS organization. Dorothy was a determined, to the point kind of woman who loved playful banter with her family. She dearly loved her children and grandchildren, always feeling the need to take care of them even as they got older and were on their own. Her motherly instinct extended to all God?s creatures (birds, deer, etc.) that visited her home, where she would make sure they were well fed and taken care of. Dorothy had many interests, including traveling to numerous states in the US and to other countries. She was honored to have had the opportunity to visit Madrid, Spain and Okinawa, Japan. She was an expert at playing cards, working puzzles and Sudoku. Dorothy also loved walking, enjoying the wildlife along the way, fishing, feeding the birds and entertaining her family members and guests. She was an exceptional cook and was well known for the delicious pies she baked for church benefits. Dorothy was also very technologically savvy and enjoyed sending emails to family filled with jokes and working on her yearly personalized calendars for each member of the family. One of her favorite activities was her weekly lunch dates with her son-in-law, Glenn. Survivors include her children: Kim Ann (Glenn) Davis, Tammie Lynn Beck, Christie Carol (Thomas) Christiansen, Pamela Rae(Oscar) Garza and Bruce William (Lisa Lynn) Beck; grandchildren: Daniel (Jessica) Davis, Jonathan Davis, Jeffery Davis, Ronald (Amanda) Brown, Melissa Brown, Christopher Ewing, Erik Christiansen, Dana Christiansen, Craig (Lacy) Garza, Veronica Garza and James Beck; great-grandchildren: Jacob Davis, Brody Davis, Bailee Muench, Cole Davis, Ella Davis, Caleb Davis, Devin Davis, Paxton Brown, and Alannah Garza; sister: Lorna Wachowiak; nieces, Vicky, Brenda and Sandy; nephew, Chucky; cousin, Leon Strangeway; and extended family and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, George and her parents.
