Obituary of Rose M. Wallace

Rose Marie Wallace, age 86, of Wisconsin Rapids, formerly of San Diego, CA, passed away Friday, June 24, 2016 at Edgewater Haven Nursing Home in Port Edwards, WI. Services will be at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, June 30, 2016 at Herman-Taylor Funeral Home in Wisconsin Rapids. Burial will take place at Fort Rosecrans National Cemetery in San Diego, California at a later date. Visitation will be from 10:00 A.M. until the time of services on Thursday at the funeral home. Rose was born on July 21, 1929 in Mauston, WI, the oldest of 12 children, to Vern and Marie Laack. She is survived by a daughter, Cheryl (Neal) Falk of Mauston, WI; a son, Daryl (Sharon) Blish of Morris, IL; siblings: Wayne (Marge) Laack of Elroy, WI; Elaine Bell of Hustler, WI; Helen (Merle) McAuley of Wisconsin Rapids, WI; Betty (Elmer) Stout of Johnson Creek, WI; Gayle (Pat) Laack of Janesville, WI; Carol (Dave) Borgen of McFarland, WI; Eddie (Sharon) Laack of Mauston, WI; James (Sue) Laack of Beloit, WI; and William (Vicki) Laack of Mauston, WI; grandchildren: Sherie (Bryan) Darden, Shaun Lomelino Sutton, Shannon (Mary) Lomelino, and Richard (Elizabeth) Blish; 13 great grandchildren; 8 great-great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Rose was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Wallace; parents, Vern and Marie Laack; siblings, Richard (Arlene) Laack and Robert (Sue) Laack.
