Obituary of Clara Bulloch

Clara (Straetz) Bulloch, 98, Wisconsin Rapids, went to be with her Lord on Wednesday, June 5, 2013 at Riverview Medical Center under the care of Aspirus Comfort Care Hospice Services. Services will be at 11:00 am on Saturday, June 8th at Herman-Taylor Funeral Home and Cremation Center. Reverend Kristi Kleinbeck will officiate. Burial will be in Pioneer Cemetery in the Town of Saratoga. Visitation will be from 10:00 am until the time of services on Saturday at the funeral home. Clara was born to Fred and Wilhelmina (Holzer) Staedtler on September 18, 1914 in Albert Lea, MN. The family moved to a farm near Mellen, WI where she grew up. On July 22, 1935 she married Donald Straetz in Hurley, WI. They lived in Mellen, Superior, and Cataract before moving to Wisconsin Rapids in 1946. Donald died July 7, 1981. Clara worked at Schroeders Variety Store for over 30 years and then worked at Shopko as a cashier. On May 27, 1989 Clara married Donald Bulloch at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Wisconsin Rapids. Clara enjoyed golfing, bowling, dancing and going to the casino. She is survived by a daughter: Shirley (Leo) Gachnang, Wisconsin Rapids; son: Donald (Susan) Straetz, Las Cruces, New Mexico; three step-children: Carol (Gary) Lunde, Westby; Jim (Linda) Bulloch, Wisconsin Rapids; and Jack Bulloch, Stevens Point; four grandchildren: Tom (Kim) Gachnang; Lori (Randy) Botcher, both of Wisconsin Rapids; Robert (Dena) Straetz, New Jersey; and Nancy (David) Siegel, Florida; three step-grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; one sister, Laura Miller, Marshfield; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by husbands, Donald Straetz and Donald Bulloch, her parents, three brothers, four sisters and one step-grandchild.
