Obituary of Rose Bassuener
Rose Bassuener, 74, passed away unexpectedly at her river home in Rudolph on Tuesday, June 11th, 2013.
Visitation will begin at 10am on Saturday, June 15th at Herman-Taylor Funeral Home with a celebration of life to follow at 11am.
Rose was born in Wis. Rapids on July 20th, 1938 to James and Anna Lobner. She grew up on the family farm in Sherry and graduated from Lincoln High School in 1956. After high school she was employed at Consolidated Papers Paperboard division and Fey Publishing. For the remainder of her live she was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.
Rose married Richard ?Dick? Bassuener on June 4th, 1958. Together they had three children: Karl, Kim and Kurt, seven grandchildren: Jesse, Haley, Michelle, Kendra, Gabe, Zachary and Cody and one great-granddaughter Annabelle.
She is survived by her daughter Kim (John) Luke, son Kurt (Debra), brothers Alex (Margaret) Lobner and Francis (Joyce) Lobner, sisters-in-laws: Genevieve, Marie and Elaine and many nieces and nephews.
Rose was preceded in death by her parents James and Anna, husband Dick, son Karl, brothers Sylvester, Robert, Arthur, Carl and sister Mildred.
Rose spent many years lovingly caring for her husband and raising her family. She was an extremely positive person even in the light of diversity and illness. Her grandkids were her everything.
A special thanks to the staff at Wellington Place for their great care and to her special niece Kathy Murphy and neighbor Chris Hartke for their assistance which allowed her to live at her riverside home for many extra years.
