Marian was born in Rudolph, WI on October 3, 1923 to Mathew and Christina (Hilgers) Herman. She married Stanley Peterson on October 6, 1945 in Rudolph.
Marian was a member of the Friendship Club of First English Lutheran Church. She was many things to many people. She was a daughter, sister, cousin, aunt, wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, but she will be most remembered for the gifts she made for so many with her hands. She was always creating something; from sewing most of her children?s clothes, to knitting sweaters, crocheting, embroidery, needlepoint, quilting, and Hardinger lace, to name a few. She made gifts for her children, her grandchildren, and her great-grandchildren. She even made things for their dolls. In the kitchen, those hands were busy by canning, cooking, and especially baking. Delicious desserts were a daily thing and unique cakes were created on her children?s birthdays. Her gifts will be treasured, her presence missed.
