All the Benders-I was sorry to learn of your mom's passing and sorry I will not be in Rapids this weekend. We are traveling there next Friday. I remember the wonderful friendship you mom had with my mother when I was in grade school. My mom had majored in Home Mechanics which was similar to home ec and that must have been a mutual attraction along with the trials of raising 6 kids.Delores was my confirmation sponsor and I remember a lovely dinner my mom made for the event at our Oak Street home with Bob and Delores attending. She served beef stroganoff and used a copper chafing dish. ( That was not the kind of dinner we usually had at our house)Sorry for your loss.Pat Quinn Indianapolis

To the family of Mrs. Bender, I feel sad for your loss, she was a lovely lady, and a great Girl Scout Leader. I have very fond memories of spending time at Mrs. Benders house doing projects and just talking.
