Obituary of Henry Peik
Henry J. Peik, 96, Wisconsin Rapids, died early Friday, July 19, 2013 at Edgewater Haven Nursing Home in Port Edwards.
Graveside services will be held at a later date at Arpin Community Cemetery in Arpin.
Henry was born in Chilton in Calumet County, on November 13, 1916 to George and Margaret (Thiel) Peik. He married Velma Virgil Stotler on September 7, 1947.
Henry farmed and resided in the Vesper area for several years and worked for Noris Cranberry Marsh. After 32 years of employment in the Port Edwards Paper Mill, Henry retired and moved to Las Vegas where he resided for 25 years before moving to Wisconsin Rapids in 2010.
Survivors include his wife, Velma, of 66 blessed years; four daughters: Evelyn (Robert) McBride, Las Vegas, NV; Dianne Hanneman, Rockford, IL; Betty (Roger) Worth, Oconomowoc, WI; Carolyn (Alan) Wolcott, Wisconsin Rapids, WI; 7 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and 13 great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, two grandsons, one son-in-law, a brother and a sister.
Herman-Taylor Funeral Home and Cremation Center is assisting the family with arrangements.
