Obituary of Janette J.

Janette (Jan) Day, 75, of Wisconsin Rapids, died Wednesday, July 24, 2013 at her home. Per Janette?s request, no services will be held and burial will take place at a later date in Arpin Cemetery. Janette was born in Arpin, Wisconsin on June 18, 1938 to George and Ethel (Severt) Rasmussen. She graduated from Marshfield Senior High School in 1956 and went to work for the Wood County Telephone Company as a telephone operator. Janette married Donald Ebsen, which later ended in divorce. Her second husband, Murray Rasmussen passed away in 1973 and her third husband, John Day died in 1995. Survivors include three daughters: Lana (Roger) Ewert, Nekoosa, WI; Kim Benjamin, Marathon, FL; Tracy (Mike) Van Asten, Wisconsin Rapids, WI; four grandchildren: Travis Ewert and Ashley, Trent and Candice Benjamin; three great-grandchildren; brother, Donald Rasmussen, Pittsville, WI; Wayne and Nancy Rasmussen, Wisconsin Rapids, WI; David and Pam Rasmussen, Arpin, WI. She was predeceased by her parents, two husbands, brother, Frederick and sister-in-law, Janice Rasmussen. Herman-Taylor Funeral Home and Cremation Center is assisting the family with arrangements.
