Obituary of Ronald Langendorfer

Ronald William Langendorfer, 78, of Wisconsin Rapids, died Thursday morning, August 1, 2013, at Edgewater Haven Nursing Home in Port Edwards. Services will be at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, August 5th at Baker Street Community Church in Wisconsin Rapids. Rev. Milt Van Natta will officiate. Burial will be in Port Edwards Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9:00 until 10:00 a.m. on Monday at the church. Ron was born June 26, 1935 in Barker, New York to Edward and Mildred (Sims) Langendorfer. He served his country in the United States Air Force for 20 years, retiring with the rank of Master Sergeant. On November 10, 2007 Ron was united in marriage to Susan Dankemeyer in Sun City, Arizona. The couple was blessed with six wonderful years together. Ron was a kind and loving man and was loved by all who knew him. His passions were woodworking, gardening, and traveling. Ron is survived by his wife, Susan; two children: Melody (Tim) Smith and Edward (Beth) Langendorfer; grandchildren: Randy, Danny, and Matt Brewington; step-children: Cindy (Bob) Coley, Beth Dankemeyer, and Steve Dankemeyer; step-grandchildren: Matt Coley, Alyssa (Brad) Gollen, Emily (Ryan) Jardine, Rachel Coley, Steven Dye, and Torrence and Lyllian Dankemeyer; step-great-granddaughter, Mila Gollen; brothers: Duane (Dorothy) Langendorfer and Robert (JoAnn) Langendorfer; and sister, Laura Parlier. He was preceded in death by his parents and one infant sister. Herman-Taylor Funeral Home and Cremation Center of Wisconsin Rapids is assisting the family. Ron?s family would like to thank Pastor Milt Van Natta for all of his visits and prayers, family and friends for all of their loving kindness, and Aspirus Comfort Care and Hospice and Edgewater Haven Nursing Home for the wonderful care they have provided.
