Obituary of Thomas Bilski
Thomas Bilski, 71, of Town of Rome, Adams County, Wisconsin died Wednesday, August 07, 2013 at his children?s residence in Union Grove, surrounded by his family, following a courageous battle with cancer.
Services will be at 11:00 am on Wednesday, August 14, 2013 at Good Shepherd Church in Wisconsin Rapids. Rev. Tullberg and Rev. Peters will officiate. Burial will be in Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery in Marshfield. Visitation will be at the church on Wednesday from 9:00 am until the time of service.
Thomas was born on March 23, 1942 in Milwaukee, WI to Albert and Jeannette (nee Polinski) Bilski. He married Yvonne Stangle on September 10, 1966 in Milwaukee. She died on February 15, 2011.
Thomas and Yvonne resided in Waterford, WI where Thomas was a Police Officer for the Village of Waterford Police Department for ten years. He then worked at Superior Die Set for 35 years in Oak Creek, WI until his retirement in 2006. He and Yvonne then moved from Waterford, WI to the Town of Rome to enjoy their retirement.
Thomas served in the U.S. Army during the Berlin crisis. He was a former member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Union Grove, and was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Wisconsin Rapids.
Survivors include his two children: Todd (Sarah) Bilski and Jill (Craig) Croninger, all of Union Grove, WI; two grandchildren: Tyler Bilski and Yvonne Croninger; a brother: Ronald (Charlene) Bilski of Greenfield, WI, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife Yvonne Bilski, and his parents, Albert and Jeannette Bilski.
A memorial fund has been established in his name.
