Obituary of Walter Frenzel
Walter S. Frenzel, 79, of 1320 Oak Street, died in his sleep unexpectedly at his farm Saturday morning August 10, 2013.
Services will be at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, August 17th at Herman-Taylor Funeral Home and Cremation Center. Rev. James Altman will officiate. Burial will take place at Calvary Cemetery at a later date. Visitation will be from 9:00 A.M. until the time of services at the funeral home on Saturday.
Walter was born in Wausau, WI on March 3, 1934 to Dr. Walter C. and Emiline (Mutuzack) Frenzel. He married Donna Mae Hemmersbach on August 31, 1957.
Walter graduated from St. Mary?s and Wausau East High School. He also attended Saint Thomas College.
He served his country in the U.S. Army and Reserves during the Korean Conflict. After being honorably discharged from service, Walter attended UW- Milwaukee, and graduated from UW- Stevens Point. He then attended Missouri School of Auctioneering, graduating in 1962.
Walter was in the law enforcement field in Appleton, the State Justice Department and practiced auctioneering until 2010. He was president of D&D Sales and Frenzel?s Collectible?s.
Survivors include his wife, Donna; Big Red his dog; sister-in-law, Susan (David) Hildebrand; nieces and nephews: Kerrie (Dr. Gary) Swart; Kristen Pierron; David (Kellie) Hildebrand; grand-nieces and nephews: Mackenzie and Riley Swart; Amanda and Mathew Pierron; Finley and Sawyer Hildebrand. He was preceded in death by his mother, father, an infant brother, and his mother and father-in-law: Dorothy A. and Herbert P. Hemmersbach.
The family has established a memorial fund in Walter?s name.
