Obituary of Arlene A. Tuttle
Arlene Ardyce (Henke) Tuttle, age 91, died on July 3, 2016. She was a long time resident of the Town of Rome and lived at the Atrium Care Center for the past several years. We know she is with the Lord now and free of the memory loss that altered her life for many years. Arlene's pastor Dennis once told her, "Jesus is holding your memories for you."

Burial will be in Restlawn Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. on Thursday, July 7, 2016 and from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service on Friday at the funeral home.
Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Nekoosa has been Arlene's home church since the 60's. Prior to that Arlene was a member of St. Luke's Lutheran Church in Wisconsin Rapids.
Arlene was born on June 4, 1925 in Wisconsin Rapids, to August and Rosetta (Witt) Henke. During WWII she worked at Preway, there she met Leonard Tuttle. They married and celebrated 67 anniversaries. Together they owned and operated Arlene's Cottage Grocery and Len Tuttle's Bait Shop at Devil's Elbow. The bait shop portion started it all with Arlene digging up and selling worms dug at Sailor's Rock.
There seemed to be nothing Arlene couldn't do or sew. She worked magic on her sewing machine and graced many with special gifts in addition to hemming, mending and altering. Her sassy sense of humor endeared her to everyone.
The Packers and Brewers had an avid fan in Arlene. Trips to Miller Park with Gean and George were highlights of many summers. Len and Arlene were able to see a lot of the country after retirement, and play a lot of dominoes!
Arlene is survived by three daughters: Darlene Lambert of Sauk City, WI, Cynthia (William) Loken and Patricia (Jon) Sonnenberg, both of Nekoosa; five grandchildren: Cassandra (Dale) Duberstein, Amanda Lambert, Erin Lambert, Brooke Sonnenberg and Nathan Sonnenberg; five great-grandchildren: Sarah, Emily, David, Aedyn and Marek; sisters Betty (Emil) Ehlert and Gean (George) Maxwell, and brother-in-law Robert Tuttle, and sisters-in-law: Bea Henke and Emily Henke; as well as many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by husband Leonard, her parents; sister Evelyn and brother-in-law Herbert Neitzel, brother Lavern and sister-in-law Vi Henke, brother Harlan Henke, brother Everett and sister-in-law Janet Henke, brother August Henke Jr.; son-in-law George Lambert; sisters and brothers-in-law: Lucille and Bill Roberts and Dotti Tuttle, and mother and father-in-law, Earl and Florence Tuttle.
Arlene's family extends heartfelt thanks to, Dr. Dickman, the caring staff at Atrium Care Center and Ministry Home Care, Hospice Services.
