Obituary of Terry Brott
Terry John Brott, 59, of Wisconsin Rapids, died Monday, September 16, 2013 at his residence.
Services will be at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, September 21st at Grace Lutheran Church. Rev. Kent Raddatz will officiate. Visitation will be from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. on Friday at the Herman-Taylor Funeral Home and Cremation Center and from 10:00 A.M. until the time of services on Saturday at the church.
Terry was born in Eau Claire, WI on February 21, 1954 to Marvin ?Mike? and LaVonne (Ness) Brott. He graduated from Memorial High School in Eau Claire and attended Nicolet College in Rhinelander. Terry married Patricia Sullivan on August 10, 1974 in Eau Claire, WI.
Terry began his career as assistant manager in 1975 with Woolworth in Rhinelander. He became co-manager of Winslow?s in Rhinelander in 1976 and then transferred to Wisconsin Rapids Winslow?s Hallmark to co-manage with his wife, Pat. He also drove school bus for Safeway for many years and remodeled their entire home.
Terry served on the Board of Directors of the Miss Wisconsin Rapids Scholarship Organization for several years. He also was one of the ?sound guys? and on the Drama Team at Grace Lutheran Church. He was an avid fan of the Green Bay Packers, Badgers, the Brewers and NASCAR races.
Survivors include his wife, Patricia; his parents: Marvin ?Mike? and LaVonne Brott; sisters: Connie (Dennis) Stahlbusch; Cathy (Mark) Kaeding; Deb (Mark) Ashley; Deanne Brott; brother-in-law: John (Jackie) Sullivan; and many nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles. He was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents and his mother and father-in-law.
The family extends a special thank you to their Grace family for providing meals, support and prayers; to the special Hospice nurses and aides, and their special friend, Jere for all their care and concern.
Memorials may be designated to Grace Lutheran Church or Ministry Home Care Hospice.
