Obituary of Melva Eswein
Melva Dorothy Eswein, 87, of Wisconsin Rapids, died Thursday, September 19, 2013 at Ministry Saint Joseph?s Hospital in Marshfield.
Services will be at 12:00 noon on Wednesday, September 25th at United Methodist Church. Rev. Marty Nolet will officiate. Burial will be in Restlawn Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10:00 am until the time of services on Wednesday at the church.
Melva was born in Almond, WI on March 17, 1926 to Clarence and Dora (Lewin) Young. She married Harold Henke on September 15, 1944. The marriage ended in divorce. Melva married Ross Eswein on September 4, 1970.
Melva worked for many area businesses over the years including: the Almond Telephone Company, Preway, Johnson Hills, and Montgomery Ward?s. She also sold Stanley Home Products.
She was a very active member of the United Methodist Church. Melva led the coffee fellowship time and always had something delicious she created to take to events.
Melva loved her family and enjoyed cooking and baking for all the family gatherings. She also enjoyed creating floral arrangements, crocheting, sewing, and gardening.
Melva is survived by her daughter: Carol Ann Davis, Wisconsin Rapids; daughter-in-law: Marlene Henke, Wisconsin Rapids; grandson: Eric (Vikki Ballard) Henke, Rudolph; three great-grandchildren: Brian Henke, Danny Henke, and Gabriella Daletto; a brother: Morris (Anna) Young, Almond; one niece; and two nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, son, Danny Henke, sister, Mavis, an infant brother, and niece, Lana Coats.
