Obituary of Frieda Rusch
Frieda E. Rusch, 90, of Wisconsin Rapids, died Friday, September 27, 2013, at Hilltop on Pepper Assisted Living in Wisconsin Rapids.
Services will be at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday at Trinity Lutheran Church in Port Edwards. Rev. Daniel Bohn will officiate. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery in Wausau. Visitation will be from 10:00 A.M. until the time of services at 11:00 A.M. at the church.
Frieda was born May 16, 1923 in Athens, Wisconsin to Walter and Esther (Henke) Mueller. She married Wilbur George Rusch on May 31, 1947 in Athens. He died on November 30, 2006.
Frieda was a homemaker who enjoyed cooking, gardening, and canning. She was also an active volunteer and did volunteer work for a Lutheran nursing home in Milwaukee and later delivered Meals on Wheels in the Wisconsin Rapids area. She was a loving mother and grandmother and had the biggest smile, even in the end when her health was failing.
Frieda is survived by two sons: Paul (Jane) Rusch of Nekoosa and Fredrick (Esther) Rusch of Cedarburg; one daughter, Barbara (Robert) Baer of Plymouth; seven grandchildren: Emilie Rusch, Sarah Rusch, Suzi (Rick) Bichsel, John Rusch, Mark Rusch, Jenny Rusch, and Matt Rusch; one great-grandson; and three sisters-in-law: Esther Mueller, Inez Mueller, and Elaine Mueller. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Wilbur, grandson, Patrick Baer, three brothers: Erwin, Carl and Martin Mueller, and one sister, Ruth Knorr.
