Obituary of Deb Kronstedt
Deb S. Kronstedt, age 49, Wisconsin Rapids, died Sunday morning, September 29, 2013 at Strawberry Lane Medical and Rehabilitation Center in Wisconsin Rapids.
Funeral services will be at 12:00 P.M. on Thursday, October 3, 2013 at Herman-Taylor Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 2201 Chestnut Street, Wisconsin Rapids. Rev. Steve Gjerde will officiate. Burial will be at St. James Cemetery in Merrill. Visitation will be from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. on Wednesday and from 10:00 A.M. until the time of services on Thursday at the funeral home.
Deb was born February 20, 1964 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. A month later, she was welcomed into the Dan and Sue Gruetzmacher family, where she was raised on the family hobby farm in the Wausau area. On December 23, 1995, Deb was united in marriage to Brad Kronstedt in Wisconsin Rapids.
From a young age, Deb had a connection with horses. She loved spending time riding and training the horses her parents bought and kept for her on the family farm. At the age of 35, Deb found and connected with her birth mother, Judy. Her love of animals led her to become a 4-H Leader. Deb also had a love for fishing and driving the boat. She was a very loving and accepting person. Despite her many health struggles over the years, she never let illness get her down. She had a very strong will to live and see her children grow and had a very special love for her grandson, Logan. Deb was a great cook and liked to garden. She also enjoyed playing BINGO at Strawberry Lane and the Elks Lodge.
Deb is survived by her husband, Brad, Wisconsin Rapids; son, Jason (Leslie) Kronstedt, Wisconsin Rapids and their son, Logan; daughter, Kayli Kronstedt, Vermillion, South Dakota; parents, Dan and Sue Gruetzmacher of Wausau; brother, Jeff (Colleen) Gruetzmacher, Wausau; birth mother, Judy (Harry) Hoyt of Merton, WI; three sisters: Jodie (Tom) Lane, Greendale, WI, Jamie (Gilbert) Frenn, Greenfield, WI, and Amy (Troy) Andersen, Merton, WI; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Garry (Sherry) Kronstedt, Wisconsin Rapids; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Sheila (Jeff) Knutson, Arpin, WI; many nieces and nephews; a special dog, Belle; and two longtime friends, Erin Morgan and Lori Brown. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, mother-in-law, Helen Kronstedt, and many beloved pets.
