Obituary of Ethel Utech

Ethel Florence Utech, 91, died on Tuesday, October 8, 2013 at the Evansville Manor in Evansville, WI. Graveside services were held at 11:30 A.M. on Sunday, October 13th at Restlawn Memorial Park Cemetery. Ethel was born in Hancock, WI on June 28, 1922 to Frank and Mae (Whipple) Challoner. She was employed by Consolidated Papers, Inc. in Wisconsin Rapids, the Sugar Bowl Restaurant, Wood County as a Home Health Aide and she drove school bus. Ethel enjoyed collecting coins and searching for antiques. She also loved to read. Survivors include her children: Kathleen Schelvan, Vancouver, WA; Judith Michael, Fitchburg, WI; and Daniel Utech, Vancouver, WA; grandchildren: Joseph and Matthew Chelinsky, both of Wisconsin Rapids, WI; Jennie (Erik) Ehmlig, Waukesha, WI; Melissa (Josh) Glodoski, Plainfield, WI; Dori (Jon) Christenson, and David Michael,all of Fitchburg, WI; Nathan (Becky) Utech; Madison, WI and Natalie Utech, Madison; and 9 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Wilbur, son, James Votava, sister, Mildred Sturtz, and brother Wallace Challoner. Herman-Taylor Funeral Home and Cremation Center is assisting the family.
