Obituary of Joyce Radtke

Joyce Mary Radtke, age 76, Town of Sigel, died Thursday, November 7, 2013 at Ministry Saint Joseph?s Hospital in Marshfield, WI. Services will be at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, November 12th at St. John?s Lutheran Church in the town of Sigel. Rev. Douglas Schalow will officiate. Visitation will be from 4P.M. to 8 P.M. on Monday, November 11th at Herman-Taylor Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Wisconsin Rapids, and from 10:00 A.M. until the time of services on Tuesday at the church. Joyce was born in Milladore, WI on January 29, 1937 to Emil and Marion (Brandl) Bertram. She married Pete Radtke on September 25, 1954 at Holy Rosary in town of Sigel. The couple was blessed with 59 years of being together and four sons. Joyce was an active member of St. John?s Evangelical Lutheran Church. She was a person who could speak her mind, but always in a loving way. Joyce put others before herself and was always willing to lend a helping hand. Her greatest love was her family and she especially enjoyed her grandchildren. She also enjoyed assisting her sisters in any way possible and looked forward to having lunch dates with them on their birthdays. Joyce loved to cook; her specialty was homemade applesauce. She also cooked for weddings. In her spare time she enjoyed going to the casino. Survivors include her husband, Pete; four sons: Dennis (Kathy) Radtke, Wisconsin Rapids; Steve Radtke (Lisa Schaak), Rudolph; Phil Radtke (Stacy), Anchorage, Alaska; Andy (Celia) Radtke, Wisconsin Rapids; nine grandchildren: Todd (Amy) Radtke, Wisconsin Rapids; Tina Radtke, Auburndale; Cole Radtke, Wisconsin Rapids; Anna, Grace and Kristin Radtke, Wisconsin Rapids; Josh, James and Leah Schaak; four great-grandchildren: Dylon and Gage Morrow and Alexis and McKenna Radtke; sisters: Laura (Art) Neinfeldt, Wisconsin Rapids; Lucille ?Tootie? Jackan, Wisconsin Rapids; Mary Ann (George) Armagost, Vesper; Elaine (Gene) Bushmaker, Wisconsin Rapids; sisters-in-law: Delma Bertram, Wisconsin Rapids; Janet (Butch) Mueller, Vesper; brother-in-law: Ronnie Radtke, Wisconsin Rapids; and special friends: Shirley Fritsche and Alice and Diane Schuetz. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Harold ?Sonny? Bertram, infant sister Audrey and Pete?s parents Phil and Natalie Radtke. A memorial will be established at a later date.
