Obituary of Robert E Lubeck

Robert Eugene Lubeck, 90, Vesper, WI, died Wednesday, November 13, 2013 at Ministry Saint Joseph?s Hospital in Marshfield. Services will be at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, November 16th at Bethany Lutheran Church in the town of Sigel. Rev. Joyce Heintz will officiate. Entombment with military rites will be in Forest Hill Mausoleum. Visitation will be from 5 P.M. to 8 P.M. on Friday, November 15th at Herman-Taylor Funeral Home and Cremation Center and from 10:00 A.M. until the time of services on Saturday at the church. Robert was born in Marshfield, WI on October 12, 1923 to Edgar and Clara (Olsen) Lubeck. His first wife Dorothy (Trickle) Lubeck died August 24, 1971. He married Marsha Yonke in 1979 in Vesper. Robert was employed by Consolidated Papers, Inc. as a tow motor operator in the Wisconsin Rapids Division. After 36 years of service to CPI he retired on December 31, 1985 and devoted his energy to attending to his hobby farm and garden. He served his country in the Navy during WWII aboard USS Terra. His duties included doing electrical work on the ships. Robert was a gentle, kind hearted man who loved his family and friends immensely. He enjoyed watching the Green Bay Packers, fishing, golfing, hunting, and camping in his RV at Cera Park. He also loved John Deere Tractors and reunions with the group of people from the USS Terra. Survivors include his wife: Marsha, Vesper, WI; children: Judy (Alan) Schiferl, Hewitt, WI; Gloria Brock, Nekoosa, WI; Kathy (Doug) Carolfi, Rudolph, WI; Steve (Donna) Dain, Arpin, WI; Lorraine (Steve) Ashbeck, Wisconsin Rapids, WI; Pam (Bruce) Felmeten, Stevens Point, WI; Ron (Jane) Lubeck, Arpin, WI; Kathy Dain, Waupaca, WI; Jerry (Lisa) Dain, Cornell, MI; Mary (Tom) Cobb, Wisconsin Rapids, WI; and Dennis Dain, Menasha, WI; 32 grandchildren; and 40 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Dorothy; parents, brother Edgar Lubeck, grandson, Jesse Ashbeck and two great-grandchildren: Brianna and Olivia. Memorials may be designated to the Disabled American Veterans.
