Obituary of Gerald Plahmer

Gerald Edward Plahmer, age 68, of Thorp, Wisconsin, died Thursday, November 21, 2013 at his residence in Thorp, WI. Memorial services will be held at a later date. Gerald was born in Wisconsin Rapids on May 17, 1945 to Harold and Viola (Brandt) Plahmer. He resided in the Wisconsin Rapids and Stevens Point area for many years before moving to Thorp. He enjoyed shopping, going out to eat with family and friends, and he loved the holidays, especially Christmas. Survivors include two sisters: Judy (Donald) King, Wisconsin Rapids, WI; Susan (George) King, Moreno Valley, CA; one niece: Cheryl (Andrew) Ashbeck, Wisconsin Rapids, WI; three nephews: Steve (Linda) King, Wisconsin Rapids, WI; Christopher (SuZ) King, Moreno Valley, CA; Harold ?Hal? Plahmer, Illinois; and many great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, LaVern (Bud) Plahmer and Merlin Plahmer. Herman-Taylor Funeral Home and Cremation Center is assisting the family with arrangements. Gerald?s family would like to thank Community Care of Central Wisconsin, all of his caregivers in Thorp as well as St. Joseph?s Hospital Home Hospice in Chippewa Falls for all of their care and concern from him.
